The Basque word for "light rain."

Graceful swirls, bold, intersecting lines, spirals that unite, separate and unite again: The Taíno etched rivers and winds—energies that are forceful and yet somehow undefinable— on caves and pottery all across the Caribbean.

As we collected the images and inspirations that became the foundation of İTÄ, we discovered similar designs wending their way through the art of countless ancient cultures. Intertwining borders in Grecian temple mosaics, arabesques adorning Turkish pottery, illuminated knots and patterns in Celtic bibles.

It’s a design that belongs to all of us.
