CAONA
Believed to mean “gold” in the recorded Taíno language, “Caona” is a reflection of ITÄ's love of discovery, using the metal not just as our canvas, but as our muse.
Gold can tether us as humans; it connects us to our homes, histories, and ancestors. To channel this feeling, we embraced gold’s shape-shifting qualities. Caona is where soft and hard meet. Sinuous shapes and unexpected asymmetry merge with geometric contours and intricate patterns in 14K gold. We see gilded interpretations of crescent moons and knowing eyes, and ancestral carvings reimagined with striking gemstones resting on gleaming surfaces.
